Collier County public schools are administered by the District School Board of Collier County, and all of its schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2005, the school district employed about 2,800 teachers, 47% with advanced degrees.

Collier County routinely ranks in the top five districts in the state of Florida for teacher salaries, and as of 2006, approximately 86 Collier County teachers had attained the rank of National Board Certified Teacher.

The schools' best students are offered the opportunity to pursue Collier County's Advanced Placement Laureate diploma, an exceptional challenge and the most demanding Collier County Public Schools diploma available.
